Designed by architect Chris Precht, this extension for the national gallery almost seems although it is rising from the ground. The spiral design and different levels create a visually interesting and intriguing exterior facade with natural light filtering in through the exterior mosaic forms. Daily life is not disrupted by the spiral core as vehicles and pedestrians can still pass underneath the structure which also leads onto a roof terrace.Personally I think it’s just a pretty cool looking building. If every library was like this maybe more kids would read, well I know I would go ne in there more when I was a kid if they looked that good! (Pics from Design Boom)
