This is the winning design from the Solar Park South design competition transforming old disused viaducts into new environmentally friendly areas. Created by Philippe Rizzotti, Vermet Tanguy, Manal Rachdi and Samuel Nageotte the vertical design has been chosen carefully as to allow the natural and urban life to co-exist, which in turn allows each layer to have a unique view out into the valley. It contains housing / medical facilities / entertainment and shops that are connected by walkways and highways to the cities. This viaduct would bring people together to experience the unique views whilst also encouraging environmental high quality living and educating people into environmental effects we have upon the world. I can see why it won!
