Not overstated and in your face Don’do, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud,   demonstrates perfectly the main design trend in 2010, which was simple, practical and understated products that have no unnecessary frills and finishes. Although this is only a reincarnation of a rocking chair I could not help but want to know more the minute I saw it. Made from a curved multi-ply Beech shell with steam bent oak feet and a high quality leather upholstery, this would not look out of place in any contemporary abode. The simple, extremely elegant and contrasting materials / finishes lend themselves very well to today’s lifestyles and situations. Great design!
